He is survived by: his wife Maryava of Edmond; his daughter Melissa Jane Ables Hicks of Boggy Depot, OK; his grandchildren, Gibson Hicks of Boggy Depot, Joshua Ables of Edmond, Roslynn Norris of Columbia and Madelynn Ables of Columbia, MO; his siblings, James Ables of Oklahoma City, OK and Viola Lang (J. D.); his aunt Jimmie Culbreath of Shawnee, OK; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Ables of Moore, Ruth Keeler of Oklahoma City and Artie Powell of Atoka.
