He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Y. Blakeney and Jewel Blakeney (Barksdale); and his brothers, Billy Blakeney and Joe Blakeney. He is survived by: his wife Derinda Blakeney; his children, Eric Blakeney (Natasha) and Jennifer Welch (Erik); his stepchildren, Jamie DeFonde (Sean) and Heath Lowe (Shannon); his stepgrandchildren, Clara, Lily, Nicholas Welch, Azlynn Thomas, Kaeleb Ward, Gabriella, Makenzie DeFonde, Addison and Jackson Lowe; and his siblings, Neda Lomax, Tom Blakeney and Lou Sullivan (Gene). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
