Ovis Smith Jr. Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ovis Smith Jr. (Edmond, Oklahoma), whose presence will be deeply missed. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Ovis is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ovis' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ovis Smith (Nig) and Neily Smith (Barrett); and his great grandchild Declan. He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Smith (McNutt); his daughters, Niki Smith-Steeley (Ray) and Mitzi Smith; his grandchildren, Tate, Turner (Emily), Jaci (Aaron), Tyce Ovis and Ryli (Quentin); and his great grandchildren, Henry and Gabriel.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Matthews Funeral Home (601 S Kelly Ave, Edmond, OK 73003).
