With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Keith Schemm of Edmond, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 8, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Fredrick "Fritz" and Maria Magdalena "Lena" Schemm (Deines); his brothers, Donald and Vernon Schemm; his sister-in-law Mildred Schemm (Olson); his nephew Kenneth Schemm; his great-nephew Luke Schemm; and his daughter-in-law Monica Schemm (Keister).
He is survived by: his wife Caroline Kay Schemm (Johnson); his children, Mark A. Schemm, Jerry D. Schemm (Gail) and Sonja R. Cutright (Michael); his grandchildren, Kaylea Bushyhead (Josh), K. C. Schemm, Tyler Cutright, Carlice Cutright, Ethan Schemm, Carey Schroeder, Jill Schroeder and Jared Schroeder (Priya); his great grandchildren, Jaxson, Declan, Anthony, Gabriella, Chaaya and Sahana; his brothers, Dean Schemm and Ronald Schemm (Barbara); and his sister-in-law Dixie Schemm (Chain). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
