She was predeceased by: her parent Rosea L. Carter; her children, Phillip Smith, Tommy Smith, Vickie-Casey Smith and Leon A. Casey; and her siblings, Tommie Lou Bettes, Ruby Young, Ronnie Carter and Emanuel "Butch" Carter.
She is survived by: her sons, Mikell Smith, Charles Evertt Smith and Shannon Casey; and her siblings, Joy Dillon (Rusty) and Tony Carter (Annie). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
