John Hames Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Hames Sr. (Edmond, Oklahoma), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 13, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid John farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For John is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Hames and Vera Hames (Stouder); his sister Louise Hodgkin; and the mother of his children Susie (Gerri Hames). He is survived by: his sons, John Hames Jr. (Dorothy) and Jeff Hames (Valarie); and his grandchildren, Madelyn Hames, Jessie Hutchings, Noah Hames, Breana Smith and Austin Graham. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel (601 S Kelly Ave, Edmond, OK 73003).
