It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Don Brown (Edmond, Oklahoma), born in Granite, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 30, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Brown and Zelma Brown (Carol); his son Paul David; and his siblings, Bobby, Richard, Gaylen, Alice, Barbara Charlene and Marie.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Miller; and his brother Gerald of Mustang. He is also survived by several cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

“I knew Jerry for what seems to be a lifetime. He was a prominent member of the church where I grew up, University Heights Baptist Church, which stood at the corner of NW 63rd and Shartel for many years. Jerry loved the Lord above all and served him well. He was a U.S. Marine for life and never backed down from any moral stand. I worked the summer after my high school graduation for Jerry and saw that his life was the same whether he was at church or at work. He inspired me to be a better person.”
