He is survived by: his wife Jane; his children, Jeff (Susan), John and Mary (Brent); and his granddaughters, Madeline (Tony), Gracie, Emma and Amelia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Jazz Studies Division Support Fund which helps to finance student scholarships, travel, instruments, and guest artists/ educators.
