He was predeceased by: his parents, Loy Emmitt and Helen Violet Smith. He is survived by: his wife Roberta; his children, Michael Loy (Nicki), David Shawn (Whitney), James Aron (Christina), Dorothy Kim Smith and Cynthia Dawn Srite (Tom); his grandchildren, Kacie Nichole Plackemeier, Samantha Noelle Srite, Ethan Scott Smith, Elliot Loy Smith, Madison Dawn Smith and Carter Robert Smith; and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Lynn Plackemeier, Wyatt Aiden Plackemeier, Watson James Plackemeier and Hudson Everett Plackmeier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
