He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Heflin and Edna Heflin; his siblings, Bill Heflin, Garvin Heflin and Bobbie Jean Heflin; and his son Tim Heflin.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Heflin; his sisters, Sue Nell Bedford and Connie Thompson; and his daughter Micki Selanders (Jimmy). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
