With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris E. Peery (Edmond, Oklahoma), who passed away on April 12, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Everett Glenn and Doris May Ziegelgruber Glenn; her husband Kenneth Peery; and her son-in-law Bruce McCrea. She is survived by: her children, Marshall Peery (Cherryl) of Edmond, Debra Hoel (Rick) of Guthrie, Charles Peery (Carole) of Edmond and Lillian McCrea of Edmond; her grandchildren, Andrew Peery, Jeremy Peery, Tricia Hoel, Chris Hoel, Cassie Long, Candace Peery, Catherine Peery, Billy McCrea and Kenneth McCrea; her great grandchildren, Colton Peery, Kali Peery, Christian Hoel, Noah Hoel, Madison Hoel, Matthew Adams, Isaac Long and Ian Long; her great great grandchildren, Cohen Hoel and Brady Hoel; and her cousin Harrold Glenn.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Matthews Funeral Home (601 S Kelly Ave, Edmond, OK 73003). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel (601 S Kelly Ave, Edmond, OK 73003). She was not ready to retire in 2020 at 83, but COVID-19 brought about many changes that forced her into retirement.
