She was predeceased by: her mother Louise McKinney; her stepfather John McKinney; her father Charles Ryals; her brother Charles Ryals; and her nieces, Sherry Ryals, Teri Ryals and Jackie Ryals.
She is survived by: her husband James Alfred Ballou; her children, Jim (Tonya Stommel), Dana (Mike Stilwell), Dea (Toby Platt), Diane, Kevin Stommel, Kim Ballou, Joel Wassom and Bill Ballou; and her grandchildren, Kristina (Jeff Powell), Josh Breeding, Jason (Nubia Stommel), Meagan (Brian Toop), Mystia (Jeremy Hillis), Amanda (Joseph Perez), Kyle (Maddie Stommel), Kaitlyn and Devin.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Schooler Funeral Home (4100 S Georgia St, Amarillo, TX 79110).
