He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Flanagan and Sadie Flanagan (Graham). He is survived by: his wife Juanice Flanagan; his sons, Gregory Flanagan (Khristi) of Oklahoma City and Nolan Keith Flanagan (Kim) of Sand Springs; and his sisters, Nellie, Nancy, Linda and Judy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Family has requested that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Henryetta Fire Department in honor of Nowell.
