He was predeceased by: his parent Luellen Earls of Virginia; and his sister Shirley Earls. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Adams; his sons, John Dale Earls and Joe Earls (Christina); his grandchildren, Jackson and Addison Earls; and his cousin Marshall Earls, Jr. of Dustin. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
