He is survived by: his wife Betty Sheffield; his grandchildren, Krystal Tom (James) of Durant and Sasha Reynolds (Matt) of Austin, Texas; his great grandchildren, Ashton Davis, Cooper Davis, Mackenzie Rice, Turner Ballard, James Tom, Jr. and Nicholas Tom; and his siblings, Jerry Sheffield, Virgil Sheffield, Gary Sheffield, Wanda McAlester and Patsy Luton.
