It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommie Maxey (Durant, Oklahoma), who passed away on December 11, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jefferson Griffin and Winnie Juanita Griffin (Colbert); and her son Stanley Maxey. She is survived by: her children, Phil Maxey of Dallas, TX and Gaylynn Smith of Norman, OK; her siblings, James F. Griffin of Tuscon, AZ, Nadine Hallmark of Millcreek, OK, Anita Meyer of Oklahoma City, OK and Iris "Jackie" Walls of Castlerock, CO; her grandchildren, Jesse Smith (Jessica) of Norman, OK, Denee "Doc" Jackson (Chris) of Dallas, TX, Frank Smith of Mustang, OK, Brian Campbell, Jim Campbell and Shandon; her great grandchildren, Sawyer Smith, Kynlee Smith, Maleah Mitchell, Guilianna Smith and Dakota Ranallo (Shelby) of Weatherford, TX; and her great great grandchild Everly Ranallo of Weatherford, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
