It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley D. Thornton (Durant, Oklahoma), born in Caddo, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 1, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Author G. Pair and Virgie Ann Pair (Biglowe); and her brothers, Ambrose, Pee Wee and Gene Pair.
She is survived by: her husband Alvie Thornton; her children, Debra Green of Calera, OK, LaDonna Swartz (William) of Durant, OK, Don Thornton (Susan) of Marshall, TX and Sister Hattie Ann Dick of Jay, OK; and also Shane Meshaya. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and dear friends.
