With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sheila Yvonne (Hopkins) Layman (Durant, Oklahoma), who passed away on February 23, 2023 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Abel Henry Hopkins and Lorene Hopkins (Fryer); and her siblings, Charlotte Sheffield, Donald Hopkins and Teddy Hopkins.
She is survived by: her children, Cass Johnson (Sherri Scott) of Mead, Oklahoma and Alecia Scheets of Silo, Oklahoma; her siblings, Betty Scarborough (Don) of Whiteface, Texas, Karon Schmitz of Silo, Oklahoma, Peggy Harris of Dandridge, Tennessee, Eddie Hopkins (Kerri) of Denison, Texas, Sherry Richey (Rod) of Konawa, Oklahoma, Donna Bush (Richard) of Sherman, Texas and Tobi Hunt of Sulphur, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, LeAndrea Bowling (Zachary), Kassandra Johnson, Cord Ashenbeck and Tamara Johnson (Ethan); and her daughters-in-law, Lenore Johnson, Abrey Scheets, Madeline Hayes, Kaitlyn Caraccio, Layden Anderson, Landrey Anderson and Aniyah Bowling. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends.
