It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Hughes (Durant, Oklahoma), born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 21, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Richard and Dessie Lou Sanders (Conaster); her husband Marvin Hughes; her son Tony Hughes; her grandson Chance Nutter; and her siblings, Linna Mae Gordon, Violet Radden, Roy Edwards Sanders and Franklin Dee Sanders.
She is survived by: her children, Venita Nutter (Rick Motsenbocker) of Ardmore and Richard Hughes of Wellston, Oklahoma.; her grandchildren, Derek Nutter (Kemisha), Brittni Hughes, Jacob Hughes and Natasha Hughes; her great grandchildren, Hudson Nutter, Kyson Despain and Miya Nutter; and her brothers, Willie Sanders of Pauls Valley and Johnny Ray Sanders of Casa Grande. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
