He was predeceased by: his parents, Lance Andrew and Charline Poindexter (Harmon); and his brother Roger Poindexter. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Poindexter (Scogin) of Durant, Oklahoma; his sister Carolyn Lawson (Mike) of Durant, Oklahoma; his children, Tammy Fortenberry (Hugh) of Durant, Bridget Garrison (Jimmy) of Holden, Vanessa Scogin (Chuck) of Durant, Oklahoma, Sam Lomping (Kathy) of Bridge Creek and Terry Winkler (Schawn) of Aubrey, Texas; and his grandchildren, William Fortenberry, Chelsea Fortenberry, Tiffany Bates, Brandon Lomping, Vincent Lomping, Cherokee Evans, Racer Evans, Carla Garrison, Mandelyn Garrison, Cheyenne Ketron, Wyatt Winkler, Shiloh Winkler, Hayden Ecklund and Harmonie Ecklund. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 6 nieces and nephews as well as other extended family and friends.
