He is survived by: his wife Debrah Rippeteau; his children, Christine Hix, Cody Brookshear and Jered Brookshear; his sister Rhonda Rieff; his grandchildren, Greg Griggs, Beckett Brookshear, Bennett Brookshear, Andrew Torres, Aiden Brookshear and Lindsay Ellis; and his great grandchildren, Asher Rodgers and Iris Christine Ellis.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Brown's Funeral Chapel (4900 W Hwy 70, Durant, OK 74701).
