He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard James and Mattie James (Moffatt) of Cade, Oklahoma.; his siblings, Hiawatha, Quanah James and Lahoma Beth James; his nephew Jonathan Brinkley-Stephens; and his niece Lisa Weekly.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Speer-Roberts of Bennington; his children, Brent Roberts of Bennington and Suzanne Fulner (Robert Jim) of Armada, MI; his granddaughters, Torian Whisper Roberts of Bennington, Zebedee and Francesca Fulner of Armada, MI; and his siblings, Tom James (Charlotte) of Bennington, Benny of Glenn Heights, TX, Nacona Brinkley of Durant and Micky James (Kenneth Duncan) of Cumberland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
