It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oscar R. McBride of Durant, Oklahoma, born in Sulphur, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 7, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert and Sarah Leona McBride (Duke); and his wife Mae McBride. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Kay Brown (Bobby) of Mead, Oklahoma, Dale McBride (Jamie) of Waxahachie, Texas, Darrell McBride of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Larry McBride (Kathleen) of Corvallis, Oregon and Jerry McBride of Durant; and his brother Earl McBride (Patsy) of Eufaula, Alabama. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
