We are sad to announce that on April 28, 2022, at the age of 86, Nell Box (Durant, Oklahoma), born in Yarnaby, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Newton Perkins and Maggie Belle Miller Perkins; her husband Melvin Earl Box; her siblings, Alphus Perkins (Zelma), Elvin Perkins (Lee), Iva Lee Higgins (Gayle), Dona Simmons (Clarence), Ruth Prough (Skeet), Margaret Cole (Clifton), Clara Bradford (Earl), Essie Cross (Luther) and Annie Oleta Perkins; her son Randy Wayne Claborn; and her granddaughter Julie Hollowell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angelia Kerr of Durant and Tammy Fietkau (Ronald) of Milledgeville, Georgia; her grandchildren, Tracy Day (Brad), Whitney Kerr, Danielle Fietkau, Kevin Claborn, Erich Fietkau and Tristan Fietkau; her great grandchildren, Hunter Day, Hayden Day and Skilar Claborn; and her daughter-in-law Nancy Claborn. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
After a short break, she decided working was more fun, so she went back to work part time for Bryan County RSVP until she was eighty-three.
