She was predeceased by: her mother Bea Ross; her husbands, Smitty Barrett, Jessie Files and O. B. Berry; and her great grandchild Amelia Rose Sawyer.

She is survived by: her father Charlie Ross; her siblings, Hope Samworth, Kay Ross and Chuck Ross; and her children, Alicia Surratt, Angela Patterson, Andrea (Jon Bonds), Donna (Steven McClain), Cathy Cook, Mark Files, Chase (Isela Berry) and Jobi (Dale Bryant).
