He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Mae Kirk (Helbach) and A. J. Kirk; his brothers, Gene Kirk, Joe Kirk and Jackie Lee Kirk; his grandson Justin Chappell; and his siblings-in-law, Terry McMichael, Ann Martin, Jackie Williams and Tommy Honeycutt.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Allen Kirk, Jamie Kirk (Julie), Tommy Lee Beshirs (Dinah), Terry Guy McMichael (Dallas), Rodney McMichael and Tammy Hall; his siblings, Robert "Danny" Kirk (Denise), Kathy Townsend, Debbie Honeycutt and Susie Williams; and his sisters-in-law, Trecia Martin, Ruth Kirk and Vicki Kirk Martin.
