He was predeceased by: his parents, Odis Dean Smithart and Della Mae Smithart (Alexander); and his siblings, Coria Lee Smithart, Howard Dean Smithart, Odis James Smithart, Marvin Dee Smithart, Larry Neal Boatman and Arthur Loyd Boatman.
He is survived by: his siblings, Billy Dean Smithart, Christine Haggerty, Sherry Gilliam and Joleen Stacy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In accordance with his wishes no memorial service will be held and due to COVID-19 no family gathering will be held.
