He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Mason and Hopie Mason; and his daughter Rayma L. McMnamy. He is survived by: his wife Vedia Mason; and his children, Vicki Mason (Charles Kayser) of Goldvein, VA, Barbara Mason of Denison, TX, Donna Penland (Tommy) of Geronimo, OK and James Mason Jr. (Ann) of Virginia Beach, VA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
