It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Maytubby of Durant, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Williston Sr. Maytubby and Cinderella Cindy Battiest Maytubby; his siblings, Charles Watson and Avis Blackman; and his nephew Jonathan Martinez.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Maytubby of Durant, Oklahoma; his children, Chris (Teola Maytubby), Dominic Jones of Durant, Oklahoma, Tina (Pete Carney) and MaKayla Maytubby of Durant, Oklahoma; his siblings, Vince (Melissa Maytubby), Lance (Karen Maytubby), Williston Jr. (Bonnie), Mayda (Tom Largo) and Liz (Lloyd Lee); and his brother-in-law Daniel Blackman of Holly Springs. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
