He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas and Maddie Irene Jones (Loftis); his brothers-in-law, Walter Lambert and James Renshaw; his brother Fred; his sister-in-law Holly Webb; and his nephew Rick Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Laverne Renshaw; his children, Gary Jones of Durant, OK and Jill Sutherland (Tom) of Celina, TX; his grandchildren, Lauren Sutherland of Celina, TX and Carson Sutherland of Celina, TX; and his siblings, Lodema Lambert of Durant, OK, Ron Jones (Janis) of Durant, OK and Mike Jones (Wanda) of Galletin, TN. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
