With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James G. Brooks of Durant, Oklahoma, born in Sturgis, Kentucky, who passed away on March 10, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Brooks and Emma Brooks (Hazel); and his son Frank Mark. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Brooks; and his sons, Troy Brooks (Tami) of Sherman, TX, Trevor Brooks (Staci), Dusty DeFury (Lisa) of Melissa, TX and Joshua DeFury (Cynthia) of Durant, OK. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and numerous other family members.
