With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Geneva Lorell Raines of Durant, Oklahoma, born in Cartwright, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 4, 2024 at the age of 88. As we bid Geneva Lorell farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Geneva Lorell is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her mother Maude Elizabeth Reeves (Hutson); her husband Leamon Oscar Raines; her father Cecil Reeves; and her daughter Donna Jean Mosley. She is survived by: her children, Jodi Ethridge of Durant, OK, Sandra Henson of Denison, TX and David Staffy (Kathy) of Talihina, OK; her brother Aaron Reeves of Pace, FL; and her son-in-law Jim Mosley of Durant, OK. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
