In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Effie Faye leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Effie Faye may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Barker Harris (Etta Fay Gore) and Etta Harris; her husband George Robert Weakley, Jr. (Junior); and her son Bobby William Weakley. She is survived by: her daughters, Loretta Holland of Healdton, OK, Dana Schmidt (Tim) of Mead, OK and Lana Hobbs (Raymond) of Durant, OK; and also Gail Weakley of Bennington. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown's Funeral Service (4900 W Hwy 70, Durant, OK 74701). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Brown's Funeral Service - Durant (4900 W Hwy 70, Durant, OK 74701).
