He is survived by: his sons, Alan Brown (Kim) of Biddenford and John Bates (Deborah) of Argyle, Texas.; his grandchildren, Richard Bates, John Bates, Dillon Bates, Eric Brown, Candi Brown, Alannah Brown and Britt Brown; his niece Kelly Bates; and his grandsons, John R. Bates and Charlie Bates.
