He was predeceased by: his parents, Obie Wright and Susie Jane Walden Sr. (Murphree); his son Billy Jr.; and his siblings, Obie Walden, Opal Pearson, Mary McGuire and Kathryn Garcia.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Toogood; his nieces, Anna Sue Sapp, Michele Urbanski and Kathy McGuire; and his nephew Howard L. McGuire.
