With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Green of Duncan, Oklahoma, born in Norman, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 100. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Brown and Estella Waverland Brown (McFall); her husband Rheuben Green; her daughter Birdie Annette Henager; her grandson-in-law Robert Fortney; and her siblings, Earl Brown, Walter Brown, Kay McElhaney and Arlene Perrin.
She is survived by: her son Rheuben Green Jr. (Myong) of Fletcher; and her grandchildren, Rheuben Green III (Caitlin), Eva Fortney, Thomas Green, Alan Henager and Jennifer. She is also survived by 30 great grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Whitt Funeral Home (4748 US-81, Duncan, OK 73533). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Locust Grove Baptist Church (11848 NE Townley Road, Elgin, OK 73538). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at the TBD Fletcher Cemetery (14429 North Dr, Fletcher, OK 73541).
