She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Carolyn McMillan Walcott and Fredrick David Walcott; her daughter Alice Beaver; her husband Alvin Grady Gay; her daughter Shelia; her sons-in-law, Mark Smith and Steve Slate; her sisters, Adele, Gwen, Loanna, Dorothy and Mary; and her sister-in-law Jeri Gay.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Bates (Jim), Carla Slate and Rhonda Smith Marie (John Kulanko); her grandchildren, Jamie Bates, Joel Blackburn, Christopher Smith, Patrick Parrish, Daniel Slate (Jess), Keegan Parrish, Emily Smith, Chad Pelton, Stuart Smith (Taylor), Kierick Parrish, Alex Workman, Rebecca Slate, Kelin Parrish, Mark Aldred and Kevin King (Ev); and her great grandchildren, Ashton Bates, Ellie Lambdin, Malachi Smith, Michael Smith, Camden King, Aaron Smith, Monty King, Magnolia Smith, Gabriel Slate, Auriel Slate and Maxwel Smith.
