The memory of Betty Jo Barnes of Duncan, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 15, 2024 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Howard and Herbert Howard; her husband Frank Barnes; and her siblings, W. H. Howard, Troy Bob Howard, Blanche Jorgensen, Eugene Howard and Loretta Pilgrim.
She is survived by: her children, James (Janie) of Brownwood, Texas, Judy (Rick Gregory) of Jackson, Mississippi and Jean (Don Kelso) of Big Spring, Texas.; and her sister-in-law Lora Dell Howard. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Western Heights Baptist Church (2305 W Beech Ave, Duncan, OK 73533). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Hope Cemetery (6302 Hope Rd, Marlow, OK 73055).
