He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Rickner and Dora Rickner (Combs); his wife Emma Louise Eikenbary; and his brother Thomas Rickner. He is survived by: his children, David Rickner of Drumright, Dennis Rickner of Drumright and Patricia Rickner of Drumright; his grandchildren, Danielle Arend (Edward), Haley Perez (Nick), Heath Rickner and Jennifer Rickner; his great grandchildren, Emma, Jesse, Ty, Delaney and Michelle; and his siblings, Dena Kriesel, Rena Duckworth, Donnie Rickner and Billie Halberstadt.
