He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur N. Benson and Virginia Mitchell Benson; and his sister-in-law Ann Benson. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Benson; his daughter Lisa Benson of Dover; his siblings, Connie Bailey (Clint) of Dover and Gene Benson of Stillwater; and his granddaughter Emma Benson of Dover. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his honor to the Dover Fire Department with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
