Emma Rae Lowery Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Rae Lowery of Dougherty, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 29, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joshua A. Woods and Hattie L. Woods (Pursley); her daughters, Jamie Sue Green (Stephens) and Sherry Stokes (Stephens); her husband Marion C. Lowery; the father of her children Jim Stephens; and her siblings, Jesse "Red" Woods, Ada Sample (Woods) and Patsy Woods.
She is survived by: her former husband Jim Stephens of Dougherty; her daughters, Latana Locke (Kenneth) of King George, VA and Peggy Van Cleve (Stephens) of Colonial Beach, VA; her grandchildren, Jennifer Rathbun (Locke), Julia Williams (Trunnell), Misty McDowney (Stokes), Roger Huffman and Kenneth Locke, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Mac Kenzie Rathbun, Mac Kayla Snider (Rathbun), Mac Kenley Rathbun, Austin Huffman, Jaelyn Stokes, Kira Williams and Elijah Williams; and her great great grandchild Wesley Snider. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages monetary donations be made to the Dougherty Cemetery Association, PO Box 14, Dougherty, OK 73032.
