He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Garfield Marshall and Johanna Marie Marshall (Janssen); his wife Betty Walker; and his siblings, Ruth Gergesen, Richard Lee Marshall, Margaret Joan Queen and Joe Emry Marshall.

He is survived by: his children, Steven Marshall (Sandra), Susan Marshall, Scott Marshall (Teressa) and Samuel Marshall; his grandchildren, Scott Marshall II, Stacy Wosel (Brandon), Sheila Howard, Sabrina Purkey (Allen) and Jacob Marshall; and his great grandchildren, Alexander "Xander" Marshall Howard, Jared Allen Purkey of Austin Jaxon, Kayton Marshall, Kamren Lee Wosel, Charles Robert Wosel and Lucas "Luke" Dale Purkey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
