He is survived by: his wife Cheyrl Coleman; his children, Dan Johnson (Cassie), Daniel Shaffer (Sami), Michelle Porter (John), Tabitha Sanders and TJ Sanders; and his sister Kathryn Lynch. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
