He was predeceased by: his parents, Cloice Merle and Bertha Alice Lea (Long); and his children, Avril Lea and Douglas Richards. He is survived by: his wife Janet Louise Dietzel; his sons, Duane Richards (Tricia), Keith Richards (Tracy) and Jeff Richards; his niece Diane Slape; and his grandchildren, Andrea, Sarah, Calli, Caleb, Libby, Emily, Joshua, Asher and Benjamin. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
