It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin David Shoesmith (Dewey, Oklahoma), who passed away on December 11, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Shoesmith and Josephine Grace Shoesmith (Wertz); and his brother Estes Ray Shoesmith. He is survived by: his wife Beth; his children, David Shoesmith (Heather) and Michelle Sipp (Dave); his siblings, Esther Lewis, Erlene Kerley (Ray), Darold Shoesmith (Rachel), Gary Shoesmith (Julie), Darla Westhoff (Clarke) and Paula Kindrick; and his grandchildren, Katie, Lauren, Preston, Parker, Emily, Andrew and Rebecca. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Journey Home, Copan Public Schools Youth Basketball, or ALS Foundation.
