It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Loberta Bowers of Dewey, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 19, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lester Lewis Munson and Mary Elizabeth Peckham; her husband P. R. Bowers; her daughters, Elizabeth Smittle of Dewey and Paula O'Dell (Jeff) of Arlington, Texas; her grandson Patrick Smittle (Sarah Jo Martin) of Oklahoma City; her sister Leslie Collins (Lloyd) of Bernice, Oklahoma; and her sister-in-law June Ropp of Dewey, Oklahoma. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
