He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Vargas and Dolores Vargas (Ruiz); his daughter Jo Lena Jordan; his grandson Joshua David; and his siblings, Cecilia Meade, Emila Martinez, Frances Gomez, Alfonso Vargas, Louis Vargas, Clemente Vargas and Mary Maldonado.
He is survived by: his former wife Dolores "Jean" Reid; his friend Dolores Vargas; his children, Tommy Vargas, Lisa Vargas and Esteban Vargas (Tara); and his grandchildren, Lekisha, Jessica (Royce), Colby (Rebecca), Michelle, Brooke (Justin), Lacey, Justin, Kelcie, Jarred, Jesse and Colton. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
