He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Garton and Irma Leona Garton; his son Clinton Bruce Garton; and his siblings, Betty Irvin, Patsy Marie Hill and Monroe Henry Garton.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughter Cathy Looper (Garton); his siblings, Judy McVay of Bixby, Jane Smith of Longmont, Mildred Johnson of Tulsa, Anna Varner (Roger) of Palmetto and Phillip Garton (Marie) of Broken Arrow; and his grandchildren, Clinton Bruce Garton II (Loralee), Nichole Chesser, Andrea Dunlap (Mark), Brittany Buck (Caleb) and David Looper. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Home (119 N Chestnut St, Bristow, OK 74010). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gypsy Holiness Church (41662 W 301st St S, Depew, OK 74028).
