She was predeceased by: her parent Luella Goforth; her siblings, Wilma Goforth, Sue Moore and Don Goforth; and her parents-in-law, Margaret Lassiter and Johnnie Lassiter.

She is survived by: her husband John Douglas Lassiter; her daughter Shonda Lassiter; her grandson Ty Lassiter; her brother Gary Goforth (Lynn); her nephews, Ryan Goforth and Chris Goforth (Lauren); her brother-in-law Michael Lassiter (Mary); her nephew Mickey Lassiter; her great-nephew Bryan Lassiter (Arlene); her niece Robyn Kinard; and also David Moore.
