He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Bruner and Ona Bruner (Drain); his wife Geneva Bruner; his siblings, Ella Evans, Lois Johnson, Eldon, Billy Wayne and Clarence; his daughters, Kyna Higginbotham and Laura Kirkpatrick; and his great grandchildren, Achilles Tanner and Nova Reed.

He is survived by: his daughter Jamie Reed of Oklahoma City; and his niece Mary Allen. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
